Diary of a Survivor
Collage and Found Objects
Diary Of A Survior is about the marriage I entered into with someone I was not in love with at a very young age.
Because of my upbringing (Catholic, Latina, and later Pentecostal upon moving to the USA ...) I found it very hard to leave a very unhappy "union".
It was punishment while I was in the marriage....
It took me years to muster the courage to face my family and friends.....to finally leave.
The consequences were broken relationships, criticism and other 'unpleasantries'(err..to say the least!) that come with divorce.
Yet, I survived .... I was able to unearth myself, liberate my heart, and remove the nails from my thoughts:
I survived to discover and know myself, indeed, I survived to love.
