ARTIST STATEMENT
My artwork is not just a way to communicate my ideas, but it is an important part of my thinking process. Each piece, whether it is a collage or an installation, is a discussion of current events or personal conflicts. In a way I donít make my artwork to express my ideas as much as I use my work to discover my own personal truth.
Just as we are becoming a more digital culture, I cut and paste and borrow from the world around me. Not only am I borrowing from memes and images, but I am going a step further. I am also using trending topics on twitter to shape and even title some of my more current work. I am hoping to create an artwork that truthful look at my real life and my real digital life.
